One of the most anticipated rankings of the year, The World’s Most Admired Wine Brands, revealed its Top 50 wineries from around the globe in an online event held today.
Santa Rita was selected as one of the most relevant brands in the international wine industry, a position it has maintained for the past ten years, building on its reputation, patrimony and quality of its wines. The winery was one in only five Chilean producers to be included in the ranking, which is developed by leading British magazine Drinks International with the support of Wine Intelligence. The list shines a light on the most iconic and innovative producers on the planet, highlighting in this occasion the credentials and history of Santa Rita.
The report comments: “Last year was a momentous one for Santa Rita, celebrating 140 years of history and 40 under Claro Group ownership. It was, of course a year like no other in its history, but the pandemic failed to put the brakes on international growth with its biggest export markets of Ireland and Brazil achieving advances of 9.9% and 6.6% respectively”.
Conducted on annual basis, the survey “provides a fascinating insight into the collective opinions of the most influential wine industry experts from across the globe”, says Managing Editor Martin Green. “The brands featured in this magazine can help the trade significantly boost sales as the world edges back towards a semblance of normality in 2021”.
On this edition, Familia Torres from Spain was the number one brand, with Catena from Argentina in the second position. Other Chilean brands included in the list were Concha y Toro, Errázuriz, Montes and Cono Sur.
